First they politely ask for considerations such as halal food, segregated bathing, acceptance of women wearing burqas, segregated toilets and the like. As their numbers grow, they demand pluralism, such as their own laws for their own people as we see here, then whole areas start to become no-go zones for non-Muslims, as we see in France, Denmark, Sweden and Holland. As their numbers keep growing, they take over whole streets in a show of power and block them with prayers on Fridays - we already see this occasionally in Lakemba in Sydney and it's prevalent in France and Britain. You come to live in Australia you live by Australian laws. End of story. We don't ban women from driving a car, going shopping alone or covering themselves from head to foot. We don't throw acid in people's faces for knocking back a marriage proposal nor do we poke people's eyes out or cut off their hands. Legal pluralism is not welcome or wanted in Australia so accept it and move on. Pray to whatever God you like but Australian law is the ONLY law. If it's not Sharia Law, it's Halal food or segregated sessions at swimmimg pools. If you really don't like the way Australian society is, then perhaps you really would be better off somewhere else where you feel more comfortable. You make up 1.7% of Australia's population yet you think that the other 98.3% should bend to suit your needs. Why do we never hear the same from Hindu's, or Buddists or any other religious group? It's time that groups like the ABC stopped pandering to you and including a muslim on every panel discussion show they have. It seems as if you think that you are important or that people really care about your opinions. Just practise your religion privately and let the vast majority of us get on with our lives without hearing from you.
