Al-Tufaihi was thrown in jail after he killed an Indonesian maid in 2005. The trial court handed him capital punishment unless he paid SR500,000 blood money within a specific period of time, Al-Shams daily reported on Monday. However, the Saudi, who belonged to a poor family, could not raise the required sum.
