Ada yang claim Albert Einstein beragama Buddhis, ada yang claim beragama Islam. Tetapi sampai beberapa bulan sebelum beliau meninggal dunia pada tahun 1955 beliau nyatakan pada wartawan majalah "Life" bahwa ia tidak percaya "personal God". Jadi ia tidak mungkin beragama Islam. Ia juga tidak pernah mengatakan ia beragama Buddhis. Ia sering katakan bahwa ia percaya "God of Spinoza". Dan Spinoza adalah semacam panteis. Seorang panteis percaya Allah dan alam semesta jadi satu.
