Hi!

We have just released Prometheus v2.19.1 which includes a bug fix for
memory-mapping which caused unsequential files on disk that leads to failed
restarts.

If you are running v2.19.0, it is recommended to upgrade to v2.19.1. If you
face "unsequential files" error when upgrading, it is safe to delete the
files inside the "<data_dir>/chunks_head/" directory from the point where
the unsequential files start without any data loss.

Get the binaries here:
https://github.com/prometheus/prometheus/releases/tag/v2.19.1

See https://quay.io/repository/prometheus/prometheus?tab=tags and
https://hub.docker.com/r/prom/prometheus/tags for container images.

Thanks,
Ganesh
