Hi all,

Prometheus v2.39.0 has been release from the first release candidate.

The highlight of this release is the added support for accepting
out-of-order/out-of-bounds samples into the TSDB (hence the Prometheus
server). To learn how to configure this, head over to the *config file* docs
<https://prometheus.io/docs/prometheus/latest/configuration/configuration/#tsdb>

and look for out_of_order_time_window.

The release also comes with additional labels for a few service discoveries
and a few other enhancements and bug fixes. The "few other enhancements"
can be as big as halving your Prometheus' heap usage (example
<https://twitter.com/_codesome/status/1577264183208398848>).

- See the full changelog & grab the binaries here:

- See https://quay.io/repository/prometheus/prometheus?tab=tags and
https://hub.docker.com/r/prom/prometheus/tags for container images.

Thanks,
Ganesh
