Especially if you like shiny stuff, I would recommend trying our new *experimental *prometheus.V2 <https://github.com/prometheus/client_golang/blob/main/prometheus/labels.go#L53> construct, which gives alternative API for creating metrics. New API includes "constrained" labels option, that will automatically limit cardinality based on the logic you want.
