Hello, We have a big feature coming in Prometheus 2.32: Prometheus agent. It is currently in main branch. I would like to go out of the classic release scheme for this special feature, and offer one or multiple beta releases before the official RC.
The idea is to release 2.32.0-beta.0 early next week, and do a couple of betas as we fix bugs. This is how the release process would differ from usual: - Only update CHANGELOG and VERSION, Do not update go dependencies for the betas. - Explicitly mention in all communication (prometheus-announce, twitter) that the beta is for the agent mode. - Only use "beta versions", which means 2.32.0-beta.0, 2.32.0-beta.1, until 2.32.0-rc.0 is reached. No alpha or other things. - Work on main, no release branch until the rc. - I can sheperd those beta releases. This would be a one-time thing, so only for 2.32. Please voice your concerns if any.
