Also look at loki <https://github.com/grafana/loki> for storing your logs: you can generate Prometehus metrics from promtail <https://grafana.com/docs/loki/latest/clients/promtail/stages/metrics/>, and recent features mean you can run periodic LogQL queries to turn them into Prometheus alerts <https://grafana.com/docs/loki/latest/alerting/>.
