Fundamentally, if you get this repeatedly from an empty slate, there
is most likely something "wrong" with your filesystem.

I don't know MapR FS very well, but my wild guess is that it is in
some details not POSIX compliant, which throws Prometheus off. For
example, Prometheus is known to not work with most NFS
implementations.
