I wrote it for the Linux Foundation a while ago. My main comment would be that their elearning system framework with which to consume the materials is a bit old-fashioned (you have to download lab exercises as separate PDFs, etc.). I'm also working to bring similar training content onto a more modern platform, but don't have news around that yet. I guess for the Linux Foundation training pricing you have to consider that many people buy multiple trainings in bundles on that platform and not only a single training, so for them it would be effectively cheaper than the listed $299.
