Hrm, good question. It's not maintained by Prometheus officially, someone else supports this.
It looks like there's also https://github.com/lest/prometheus-rpm, which provides packages via https://packagecloud.io/prometheus-rpm/release I don't know the maintainers of either of these projects, so maybe some of them are around here and can answer questions?
