Hi All
Stuck with this issue so reaching out, hoping someone else has had and
fixed this in the past.
windows_exporter can't find the registry key Software\Microsoft\Microsoft
SQL Server\Instance Names\SQL even though it exists on the local machine.
I'm assuming there's a problem with this particular windows machine but
posting here in case someone has had and fixed this problem before
command prompt was run as administrator
C:\Program Files (x86)\windows_exporter>windows_exporter.exe
