Hello everyone, I'm sorry if my question has already been asked but I only find a similar issue with the error as "can't find OID 1.3.6.X.X.X.X to walk".
My issue here is the following : as I run the command ./generator generate I get that result : level=info ts=2022-04-05T12:28:31.176Z caller=net_snmp.go:144 msg="Loading MIBs" from=$HOME/.snmp/mibs:/usr/share/snmp/mibs level=warn ts=2022-04-05T12:28:31.834Z caller=main.go:120 msg="NetSNMP reported parse error(s)" errors=15 level=info ts=2022-04-05T12:28:32.222Z caller=main.go:52 msg="Generating config for module" module=if_mib level=error ts=2022-04-05T12:28:32.329Z caller=main.go:130 msg="Error generating config netsnmp" err="unknown index ''" I've been looking for days to understand why my generator cannot generate my snmp.yml file with the OIDs i ask it to walk. I've been trying to get the 1.3.6.1.2.1.2.2.1.10 and the 1.3.6.1.2.1.31.1.1.1.6 <https://cric.grenoble.cnrs.fr/Administrateurs/Outils/MIBS/?oid=1.3.6.1.2.1.31.1.1.1.6> iso <https://cric.grenoble.cnrs.fr/Administrateurs/Outils/MIBS/?oid=1>. org <https://cric.grenoble.cnrs.fr/Administrateurs/Outils/MIBS/?oid=1.3>. dod <https://cric.grenoble.cnrs.fr/Administrateurs/Outils/MIBS/?oid=1.3.6>. internet <https://cric.grenoble.cnrs.fr/Administrateurs/Outils/MIBS/?oid=1.3.6.1>. mgmt <https://cric.grenoble.cnrs.fr/Administrateurs/Outils/MIBS/?oid=1.3.6.1.2>. mib-2 <https://cric.grenoble.cnrs.fr/Administrateurs/Outils/MIBS/?oid=1.3.6.1.2.1> . ifMIB <https://cric.grenoble.cnrs.fr/Administrateurs/Outils/MIBS/?oid=1.3.6.1.2.1.31> . ifMIBObjects <https://cric.grenoble.cnrs.fr/Administrateurs/Outils/MIBS/?oid=1.3.6.1.2.1.31.1> . ifXTable <https://cric.grenoble.cnrs.fr/Administrateurs/Outils/MIBS/?oid=1.3.6.1.2.1.31.1.1> . ifXEntry <https://cric.grenoble.cnrs.fr/Administrateurs/Outils/MIBS/?oid=1.3.6.1.2.1.31.1.1.1> . ifHCInOctets <https://cric.grenoble.cnrs.fr/Administrateurs/Outils/MIBS/?oid=1.3.6.1.2.1.31.1.1.1.6> OIDs, I've checked if I had the right MIBs, i've downloaded them on the cisco mib locator. the snmpwalk command run with these OID get me the right output, and the command ./generator parse_errors retrieve me this : level=info ts=2022-04-05T12:36:08.935Z caller=net_snmp.go:144 msg="Loading MIBs" from=$HOME/.snmp/mibs:/usr/share/snmp/mibs level=warn ts=2022-04-05T12:36:09.608Z caller=main.go:120 msg="NetSNMP reported parse error(s)" errors=15 Unlinked OID in CISCO-WAN-MODULE-CAPABILITY: ciscoWanModuleCapability ::= { ciscoAgentCapability 99999 } Undefined identifier: ciscoAgentCapability near line 22 of /usr/share/snmp/mibs/CISCO-WAN-MODULE-CAPABILITY.my MIB search path: /root/.snmp/mibs:/usr/share/snmp/mibs Unlinked OID in CISCO-IETF-FRR-CAPABILITY: ciscoIetfFrrCapability ::= { ciscoAgentCapability 310 } Undefined identifier: ciscoAgentCapability near line 23 of /usr/share/snmp/mibs/CISCO-IETF-FRR-CAPABILITY.my Unlinked OID in CISCOTRAP-MIB: snmp# ::= { snmp 0 } Undefined identifier: snmp near line 74 of /usr/share/snmp/mibs/CISCO-GENERAL-TRAPS.my Unlinked OID in CISCOTRAP-MIB: snmp# ::= { snmp 0 } Undefined identifier: snmp near line 64 of /usr/share/snmp/mibs/CISCO-GENERAL-TRAPS.my Unlinked OID in CISCOTRAP-MIB: snmp# ::= { snmp 0 } Undefined identifier: snmp near line 50 of /usr/share/snmp/mibs/CISCO-GENERAL-TRAPS.my Unlinked OID in CISCOTRAP-MIB: snmp# ::= { snmp 0 } Undefined identifier: snmp near line 40 of /usr/share/snmp/mibs/CISCO-GENERAL-TRAPS.my Unlinked OID in CISCOTRAP-MIB: snmp# ::= { snmp 0 } Undefined identifier: snmp near line 30 of /usr/share/snmp/mibs/CISCO-GENERAL-TRAPS.my but i don't think this is related with my issue because I get the same message when I remove the problematic OID and that the generator succeed at generating my snmp.yml... I'm totally lost about it so any help would be gratefully welcomed :) Also this is the first time I ask something on such a platform, I hope I'm providing the right stuff and i'm sorry if these constitue a bad request. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Prometheus Users" group.
