Prometheus release binaries
<https://github.com/prometheus/prometheus/releases> are statically linked
and don't depend on the underlying OS - e.g.
prometheus-2.37.1.linux-amd64.tar.gz
<https://github.com/prometheus/prometheus/releases/download/v2.37.1/prometheus-2.37.1.linux-amd64.tar.gz>
 will
run under any 64-bit Intel/AMD Linux. Same binary, same configuration,
nothing changes.

If you shutdown the old prometheus you can just copy its storage directory
to the new one, to keep your existing metric history.

It would be a good idea to upgrade to 2.37.1 since the 2.37.x branch is a
long term support release (at least 6 months from July 2022).
