Yes, it should, and it does release at least some of the "tasked" 
resources. (just not the ones "permanently" lost to programming 
inefficiencies til reboot)

And... not to stray too far off topic, but FWIW, W2k does a much better job 
of auto-administering memory in general than NT4.
