I've just noticed some strange behaviour in Protel, which I'd like to know
if anyone else has narrowed down as to the cause.

I use the access database system, with access restrictions (per-user
logins).

The symptom is when I try to close a file, I get a Microsoft ODBC message
along the lines of "...Locked by [user] on [machine-name]". I know for a
fact that that user doesn't have the database open on the particular machine
the error occurs on. The result is that the file doesn't get saved (there is
only an "ok" button).

Here's my various theories as to the causes of the lockout:

* The user had opened the files in the database, and closed the database
without closing the files first;
* The database lost its links;
* ???

Anyone have any ideas on what actually causes the problem, or whether it's
just "one of those things"?

Cheers,
