well, at the time i wasn't aware that i could convert anything other
than gerbers into dxf/dwg, and in that case i wasn't sure which one
he would need, and whether he could do anything with it once he
got it. 

but yes!  i finished exporting it from the pcb file, as per instructions
from rob and brad, about an hour ago and i sent it to him and i haven't
got any complaints back yet.
