I have see an NT machine at work here become as stubborn as an old girlfriend from corrupt registries. The latest NT service pack is also 6. I am running this NT set up and I am quite happy with it. Virtually all of my Protel problems were due to trying demo ware. I now limit this practice. I think I have said before (being a nag), I do not run anything in the background. I have also learned of the Greek tragedy of interfering with a Protel shutdown by launching another App before it closes. This leads to a very likely Protel freeze and possible database damage. I have been pretty lucky. I found Protel 98 to be much more bredful of creating a corrupt outputs that even Protel could not fix when they check my files. Jon has a good point in thinking about the hardware. I would think the system would be generally unstable, this being the case. I have run 99 on a Win 98 platform too and it has never been as we say on The Rock, 'crooked'. (meaning out of sorts). As for memory resources, I have only 128 megs, but then I have not gotten into a real high density board over six layers.
