Hi all,

Those who may be using both PCAD and Protel may notice that the schematic
import feature for PCAD into Protel has been fixed (sort of). Nevertheless,
it seems the ability to import patterns/pcblibs is not supported (?). I did
a library export/ascii conversion for a PCAD design file. This created the
required PCAD .lia library file. The pcblib editor does appear to be doing
something. It does correctly gets the symbol names. However, no patterns are
imported at all.

I edited the .lia file with PCAD and I did identify that the lia was
functional in PCAD's eyes. There was a Protel "skipping ..." report which
seems to indicate Protel is thrown off during the import. Why ? Is this a
bug ? Protel's FAQ appears dry on this topic. Thanks for any insight all.
