Brian,

I support Ian's arguments especially point 3.
Ok its quite some work but in the end you will have libraries you can rely
on for 100%.
If you stick to Protel you can keep using your libraries with any upgrade of
Protel.
Some of the schematic symbols and footprints I still use were created in the
Protel for DOS age.
