Andy, It's funny this question is coming up now on the forum. I was out for a few. I had asked Protel a few times why my database was so huge, never got a good answer till very recent, and I might add ONLY because I installed on a faster newer machine running NT SP6a. I noticed that on installation with NT all of a sudden my design was compacting every time I closed it. This was not the case on WIN98. It seems that when installed on WIN98 you need to set this yourself on NT it automatically sets it to compact on close of design. Now this may seem like a simple thing for those who have been using Protel for awhile but it was not veru apparent to find where this fuction lived also there was nothing in help to find the compact fuction. Now for crashing, only on the NT install do I see issues, Protel stated I need to install an older version of the OBDC drivers an dI will not have any problems. I really want to use NT for now. Has any one had any problems with OBDC drivers and NT ??? Thanks Bob Wolfe
