Not here either and they could practically "frisbee" it to me from Altium 
head office.

Still it was only the 8051 version and I would suggest that few people 
would be *starting out* on 8051 development these days.  So those doing 
8051 development will all have tools already (won't we?)  The bare bone 
device (8051) is certainly cheap but anytime you put a few fancy 
peripherals on it the $ goes up beyond what you can do with some of the 
Japanese micros (that are also better (power and MIPS/MHz-wise).  Certainly 
a venerable device and we still use a lot in designs but this is largely 
due to the wealth of in house routines we have and general familiarity.

So we would be using it (the Tasking offer) as a quick-look-see as to 
whether the tool set is OK.  (Now if they had given away the Mitsubishi 
M16C tool set that would be more interesting...)
