No, there is no point, though it is usually harmless. Best practice is to 
set all vias for direct connect to power planes and to polygon fills.

Design/Manufacturing/Power Plane Connect Style/Add
Design/Manufacturing/Polygon Connect Style/Add

Add rules with scope: Filter kind/Via Specification/Specification

and uncheck all the fields so that it will apply to all vias. Then set the 
Rule Attributes to Direct Connect.
