It is possible that there is something outside the border.  Turn on
ALL layers and display again.  Or, just select all outside area,
and select what you want to keep, then delete whatever did select,
and try again.  You can use the reports board info to see the extent of
objects in the workspace.  It is possible when moving selections
to move objects into negative coordinate space, where you can't
bring them onto the displayed window.

Film borders and center films can have strange effects sometimes.
