It looks as though Altium have updated, yet again, the Protel Website,
sometime today.

What is of interest is the advance notification provided of some of the
features which will be available with Altium. The following text is an
extract from the updated Protel Website (and was thus originally provided by
Altium):

The focus for the meeting will be on features in the new Protel release,
including:

- Enhanced design integration and management, with powerful design
validation, comparison, and bi-directional synchronization features.

- On-sheet schematic symbol editing, user definable component and pin
parameters, and enhanced schematic printing with optional preview.

- Comprehensive PCB dimensioning tools and enhanced padstack definition.

- Situs, the new topological autorouter, with complete support for all
electrical and routing design rules, BGA fanout support and cleaner routing.

- Enhanced circuit simulation, with import and export of waveform data,
enhanced plot graphics, overlaying of multiple waveforms and copy to
clipboard support.

- Integrated PCB signal integrity analysis, operating within the Design
Explorer environment.

- Plus a host of other features, including integrated component libraries,
version control, design variants, true multi-channel design, the ability
work with documents directly on the hard drive, user-friendly environment
customization, the spreadsheet-like Object Explorer, and much more.

We will also be previewing the new Design Explorer based CAMtastic!, with
auto-loading of all file types, enhanced DRC checking, and import and export

The reference to Situs is not unexpected, but we have now been given advance
notice of some other features which will be provided in Phoenix.
