That's been my experience also. About all shutting down the ddb's
before closing Protel has eliminated for me is the program error
that occurs when it's writing the ini files.

BTW, the ini file write bug mentioned above can be nasty, as
sometimes the ini file is incompletely written to disk. Next time
you open Protel, very erratic things sometimes happen, such as
not being able to load a ddb correctly (as might be expected with
a corrupt ini file). :-(

I wish Protel would fix these "houskeeping" bugs.
