There is a method specifying a path all the way from outside a DDB down to 
a "file" inside the DDB but I do not know if it will work for you.  Protel 
have a couple of KB items that may help:

Item - 2200 - deals with the address along the lines of (with unintentional 
word wrapping)
D>MSACCCESS:$RP>D:\Program Files\Design Explorer 99 
SE$RN>MyDesign.ddb$OP>Documents$ON>Control.pcb$ID>65$ATTR>0$E>PCB$STF>

This item also references Item 2198 (a wordy description of the Access DDB) 
and and 2199 (not much use really).

Item - 3131 - gives details on path name length limits.
