i would chase the sch/printer path for this one
i don't think the file type drop box is too smart or important

i've seen lots of probs with the type of printer sch expects to see when
it opens

i must say though that i have 'printed' to distiller without problems

reinstalling the software seems a bit extreme to me

i would suggest to jettison Win 98 also
