I use either "z" or "n" (depending on the client) as the prefix 
(sometimes with a "_" to separate it from the rest of the signal name.

Beware the use of non alphanumeric characters as some systems do strange 
things with them (e.g. if you do not know for certain what is going to 
be reading the netlist). I would not use the "*" since many programs use 
that for a global match.
