It is very application-dependent, of course, but many "white papers" on RDRAM, where exact same configurations and programs have been benchmarked with the two kinds of memory, were VERY inconclusive! Some showed as much as a 10% difference, but most showed less difference than that. CPUs with big caches do make a larger difference.
