As well as the existing Update Schematics function (in SchLib editor), DXP Sch now allows you to pull changes from a Sch library - you get a dialog allowing you to control which components are updated, and to control what attributes are updated. It is more controlled than the P99SE "push" method of updating.

The P99SE method is still there - in DXP it will tell you the number of changed components and the number of affected documents - not very controlled but useful as a check.

This update from library exists in Sch - it is not implemented in PCB, there is still no easy way to force PCB footprints to be updated from the PCBLib, which is a shame - especially as it is now possible to controlled much more precisely where a footprint should be sourced, so controlled updates are possible.
