Yes, it is worth your while, at least in 99SE. It's quite straightforward,
if what you mean is you want to print individual layers of a PCB you've
drawn.

Open the PCB you've drawn in Prtoel, then press F-P (file-print). This will
generate a default printout. Click on the tab at the top of the file
explorer pane for "BrowsePCBPrint", then right-click in the pane that opens
to "add printout". Add and remove layers to your heart's content.
