Hi all, I got problem in placing the float figures which have ,jpg file format. Here the sample block: ...... \usepackage{graphicx} ...... \begin{figure}[/placement specifier/] \centering \includegraphics{aws.jpg} \caption{Archimedes wave swing (AWS)} \label{fig1} \end{figure} .....Any /placement specifier /(t,h,p,t,!h) always give the figure flushed to the right, not centered.
the placement options don't specify the horizontal position inside the page, but the vertical floating, i.e. top, bottom, here, ...
However, figures with .eps format are always placed in the center correctly. The caption is also centered for any figure file format. The common problem in .eps file is that the size is usually very big. I need your suggestion and help.
First of all this isn't a ProTeXt related problem, so it might be better to post it inside a forum concerned to LaTeX related problems. For my person, i would assume that there is whitespace left arround your figure, which might lead to the effect described above.
