Also - could you clarify which version of CF you are using? 3.5 has
some subtle tweaks (mainly performance) from 2.0.

As an aside - the *simplest* way to use protobuf-net over a boundary
is to share a POCO/DTO class definition; the xml / data-contract / etc
options should all work, but tend to be a little trickier. But please
do ask.
