I'm pretty sure several people have compiled on Solaris 9.  Perhaps it is
your particular compiler that is lacking this?  stdint.h was introduced by
C99 -- can you use a compiler that is less than 10 years old?

Does your system have inttypes.h?  If so, you could perhaps symlink stdint.h
to it.
