protobuf does not support j2me sources. You may have luck with third party
implementations listed in:
https://code.google.com/p/protobuf/wiki/ThirdPartyAddOns. In particular,
https://code.google.com/p/protobuf-j2me/ aims to be fully compatible with
protobuf features, so you may want to give it a try.
