What steps will reproduce the problem?
Just as a Windows binary is provided, a Mac binary should be provided as
well.
What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Current instructions for installing protobuf are too complicated or
extensive. Working on my Mac, in order to install protobuf I have to sign
up as an Apple developer, download 4.1 GB of Xcode (2 hours) in order to
get a C compiler to run the build and installation steps for protobuf.
Couldn't the protobuf team upload builds for the most recent Mac OS X or
two?
What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Mac OS X, 10.6.8 (snow leopard)
