Hello, I am looking for a little guidance, guidelines, etc, concerning the transitive linking process.
In basic terms, it seems to me that much of this has to do with ensuring that the field numbers, etc, are all aligned properly, there are no collisions, the numbers identified for reserved, extensions, etc, are all accounted for, and so on. Then there's the matter of, I suppose, specifying import directories. First of all either testing whether the import path exists, whether it is absolute or relative is immaterial, I think; or scan some user specified import directories for the same. Another significant aspect is how to treat the imports via vis-a-vis the import modifier. I'd received some feedback along these lines, but any clarification along these lines would also be appreciated.
