This is what I tried so far:

protobuf {
    protoc { artifact = "com.google.protobuf:protoc:$protobufVersion" }
    plugins {
        grpc {
            artifact = "io.grpc:protoc-gen-grpc-java:${grpcVersion}" // 
CURRENT_GRPC_VERSION
        }
    }
    generateProtoTasks {
        all().each { task ->
            task.plugins {
                grpc { }
            }
        }
    }
}



But the script doesn't generate the protobuf files, it only generates the 
grpc files.
