You can find the latest protoc release in our github releases page 
<https://github.com/protocolbuffers/protobuf/releases> (currently v29.2). 
Note that for protobuf, v3.6.0 is very old and out of support 
<http://go/proto-version-support> -- we recommend using a newer supported 
version (e.g. v25.x or 29.x). You may want to check with 
https://github.com/golang/protobuf and https://github.com/grpc/grpc-go for 
what versions those are compatible with.
