There have been anecdotal reports of Proton's JNI binding containing memory
leak bugs.
We don't have a standard way to check this. This task involves running a
proper test, e.g. using Valgrinld, and ideally setting it up to run on our
Continuous Integration server.
At the bare minimum we'd manually run these tests as part of our pre-release
testing.
It may be possible for our memory management testing process to apply more
broadly, e.g. to all bindings or to proton-c itself. This will become clear as
we progress with this task.
