# Abstract
The proton-c messenger currently enforces hard-coded link names on attachment.
# Description
In certain scenarios it would be useful to be able to specify an explicit
link-name to use for the attach when performing a subscribe (and possible also
associated with a message address), so it would be useful if Messenger exposed
a way of setting these.
