Request for inclusion 12.0: PROTON-1116: Potential infinite recursion detected by VC++14 compiler

Very simple fix, potentially confusing bug. The implicit conversion to
an excessivly lax template value ctor leads to very confusing error
messages. Fix is to make it explicit, fancy type-deduction stuff coming
for 0.13 ;)
