Hi all, Well, TAE is upon us, and it'll start with their Ajaxian Framework Summits, that'll feature parallel Monday mornings for jQuery, Dōjō and Prototype.
Registrations are now complete, and we look forward very much to meeting you guys and discussing the state of the libs and their communities, and how we can push all this up and forward to newer, more vivid, more useful levels. Recent threads in this group sure say this discussion is needed, and measures have to emerge. We'll obviously post our slides online, but most of the content should be oral and back-and-forth with the audience. We'll discuss contributions mostly (docs and code), but also performance, best practices and the state of the community and ecosystem around Prototype and script.aculo.us. Andrew Dupont and Juriy "Kangax" Zaytsev will join yours truly on stage; Sam Stephenson will, unfortunately, be in the middle of moving to his new place and therefore won't be available; and the other active members--Thomas, Mislav and Tobie--had to remain in Europe (Vienna, Zagreb and Geneva, resp.). But Thomas will join us through Skype video on the Q&A session! Andrew and I will also give specific TAE sessions on Prototype and script.aculo.us. If you're at the conference, be sure to come up and say hi! We'd love to hook up. These sessions, I believe, will be filmed and posted on AdobeTV.
