Hi everyone!

Just a reminder that we'll be at Western Delta Park, just a block
northwest of the Delta Park/Vanport MAX station, this *Sunday* at
3:00pm. The weather is looking perfect, so we hope to see you there!

Here's the invite from a few days ago:
-----------------------------------------------------------------------

On the agenda:
==============

1. Launch model rockets!

We'll be bringing lots of Estes and Quest model rockets to launch,
including helicopter recovery, glider recover, and all sorts of other
trick model rockets to launch and play with. Got some of your own? Then
heck, bring them! And no, we won't have an FAA waiver for this launch,
so you may NOT launch your amateur rockets, sorry :) But please DO
bring other fun flying toys, like RC planes, helicopters (yes, Dan, this
means you), frisbees, etc.

Best of all: we will officially try and break the 5 year long PSAS ATV
curse by launching a rocket with a 2.4 GHz video camera in it, and yes,
ACTUALLY RECORD its output.

2. Bring the Dad/kids!

It's Dad's day, too, so please drag everyone along, including Dads and,
if you're a dad, then kids, too!

3. Food!

PSAS will get drinks (pop, juice, water) and snacks (chips, pretzels,
etc), but please do bring your own picnic.

Directions:
===========

We'll be in the field that is on the NW corner of the N Broadacre Drive
and N Expo Rd. Here's a google map:

http://maps.google.com/maps/ms?ie=UTF8&hl=en&msa=0&msid=116128149878271069216.000001128c0f45ce4a24e&ll=45.597735,-122.686021&spn=0.0109,0.024376&t=h&z=16&om=1

By far the easiest way to get there is to take the Yellow line Max to
the Delta Park/Vanport Max station, take a right on N Expo Rd and then
an immediate left on N Broadacre Dr. It's only a couple of hundred feet
from that Max station, so it's easy.

To drive there, head N on I-5 and exit at 306B and head towards the Exp
Center. Turn left on N Victory Blvd, which turns into N Expo Rd. Take a
left on N Broadacre Dr. Here's some google directions:

In Case of Rain:
================

We're definitely going to scrub in the case of poor weather, so if it's
raining, or if it's still very wet, we'll scrub this launch and restart
the countdown for sometime later.

See you then!

Andrew
