I tested the new Atom flight computer (the PCM-3363N) with BITS
(http://biosbits.org/) to check for x86 System Management Interrupts
(SMIs) which could break our latency and jitter budgets. I found that
the board has an SMI about 4 times per second, which takes anywhere from
500us to 1500us. I submitted a support request to the manufacturer
trying to find out how we can disable this, or failing that asking for a
fix. Meanwhile, I'll try adjusting various BIOS settings to see if I
can make it go away.
