The Portland State Aerospace Society (http://psas.pdx.edu/) is pleased
to announce that we are on target for a Sunday July 31st launch of our
rocket, 'Launch Vehicle No. 2.3', outside of Brothers, Oregon.

This will be the fourth launch on this airframe, flying on an CTI
N2850 motor. This should propel our 12 foot high, 70 pound aluminum
and fiberglass rocket to an altitude of over 15,000 feet! This time we
are testing a new flight computer and new antennas. We will also be
flying the same roll control module from the last flight (see:
http://psas.pdx.edu/news/2010-10-17-2/ ).

We'll be departing Portland Saturday July 30th for Brothers (which is
about 40 miles east of Bend, Oregon) and setting up in the late
afternoon. We plan to launch on Sunday between noon and 2:00pm, which
should allow some to make a day trip out of the launch, although it is
more than four hours one way from Portland to Brothers.

If you are interested drop us a line at i...@psas.pdx.edu. The Oregon
Rocketry club is generously allowing us to use their launch site. They
have directions on their site here:

If you aren't planning on coming, you can follow our progress on our
official twitter page:

Keep an eye out for updates after the launch to see pictures and watch
video of the flight!
