I think we concluded that this was because print.sh wasn't written
with big-endian machines in mind.  Unfortunately I don't have a
big-endian machine, (and I'm not exactly sure what this test is doing
anyway). 

Perhaps you should file this as a bug, and hopefully someone will fix
it.
