Hi Ben and the others,
Please let me know if you need something done on the PSPP page.
An updated news file probably isn't enough for a new release.
I want to know when PSPP is going to be released. It would be nice to have
the entire PSPP page(s) reflect the latest release, at the right time in
sync with the actual release. It looks so ugly otherwise.
I had a look at the pages we've got. The news page will need to be updated like you mentioned; this essentially gets lifted from the NEWS file. Similarly, the Contributors page needs minor updates as per the AUTHORS file. The manual will need to be regenerated from the Texinfo source. So far as I can see, the only other existing page that may need attention is the FAQ. I'll see if I can make some suggestions there. It may be appropriate to add some new information to give the site a bit of sparkle. Perhaps we could include some sample output pages and/or some kind of tutorial. I think the main reason this has not been done in the past is the time and effort needed to maintain such pages. It needs to be done well; I think a poorly presented tutorial/promotion site is worse than none at all.
