I'm trying to install pspp on a MacBook with Mac OS X 10.4.10 and
     I'm having some troubles.

The pspp-users list is probably a better place. See
http://lists.gnu.org/mailman/listinfo/pspp-users
I think there are some Mac OS X users there who may be able to give
you a better answer.

But it looks to me as if you don't have GNU gettext installed. I
didn't think it was necessary, but perhaps there's some reason why
it's needed on Macs. Try installing it
(see http://www.gnu.org/software/gettext).

Also, it's somewhat unusual to run the ./configure and make commands
using sudo, although I can't see why this would cause a problem.

Hope this helps.
